Have you ever had a guest in your home tell you that your furniture is outdated?  When you have friends and family over during the holiday season, you want to make sure your house is decorated with the most updated and elegant furniture.  This may include replacing your outdated sofa, chairs, kitchen table and more.

Furniture is typically the last piece of a home remodeling project because it is usually the most expensive.  Once you have replaced the other elements of your house during the remodeling project, the last thing you want to think about is purchasing furniture.  However, furniture is necessary for a complete home remodeling project.  If you have furniture that is more than ten years old, it will most likely be dirty or have significant rips and tears.  Any furniture you notice with these attributes should be replaced during your home remodel.

I have been in my home since 1992 and have had all of the same furniture for years.  Earlier this summer, I decided to remodel my kitchen and bathroom.  My remodeling made my house look great, but it was easy to tell that my furniture was outdated.  When my son-in-law was here over Thanksgiving, we noticed a large rip in my living room sofa.  The kids told me it was probably time to update all of my furniture to the new, classy looking furniture that they have in their homes.  I decided to take their advice and I began budgeting to update my sofa, recliner, chairs and kitchen table.  I was looking at spending somewhere around $3,000, which I was okay with because I really needed new furniture.

My son-in-law took to me to a few different furniture stores to check out different items of furniture and see if it would be within my budget.  Thankfully, I found a brand of furniture that looked elegant, unique and classy.  It was also within in my budget, so I decided I would be updating all of the furniture in my house with this brand.  Once I finished all of my remodeling and had my new furniture in my house, I felt like I had the best looking house on the block.  My kids were very pleased with the way the house looked and I have been receiving compliments from all of my neighbors. – Brenda Wright
